Nearby Café Home > Politics

The Nearby Café has, since 1996, endorsed the presidential aspirations (if any) of dark-horse/dead-horse candidate Marvin Kitman, Long Island Newsday's TV columnist. Herein the "Draft Kitman for 2004" effort gets underway with a bold stroke, initiating our favorite's formal challenge to our duly appointed President Chauncey Gardener.

The Nearby Café's Op-Ed Page features occasional opinion on various subjects -- the crimes of Big Tobacco, multilingual education for doctors in urban areas -- generated by those of us at the Café and invited guests. This section includes the Café's Op-Ed Archives.

Plus: A section of our Café's bookmarks list, Jump City: Hot Links, offering our favorite politics-related sites elsewhere on the Web.
