The Jeremiah Essays
by Earl Coleman

Jeremiah: I'm Mad as Hell

These essays come from a monthly newsletter titled Jeremiah: I'm Mad as Hell that I published between January 1986 and December 1986, when we were living in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. My promo for it said, "will raise your hackles and your consciousness, will not be like anything else you've ever read. Irreverent, daring, iconoclastic, funny." I'd never before had a forum for general commentary on cultural issues, so this was an experiment for me in both form and content.

I charged $2.50 for a single issue, $10.00 for an introductory 4-month subscription; a full one-year (12 issues) subscription cost $25.00. At its peak, it had 49 subscribers. Back issues remain available at $2.50/issue; click here if interested. All orders must be prepaid; checks payable to Earl Coleman.
