Petrified Forest Gallery, June 2014
Reading Room made its debut on June 6, 2014 at The Petrified Forest Gallery, 291 Windermere Rd., Unit 142 in London, Ontario, Canada. Matthew Purvis, its founder, describes Petrifed Forest as “a small gallery run by a petulant dwarf and open to the public by appointment. We accept submissions, but be advised that the space is small. Sound and video works, photography, miniatures, textiles, works on paper or board and sculptures (by local producers) are encouraged. We are a zero-budget, non-funded, non-commercial space which seeks to make work available to a broader audience.”

June 11, 6-8 p.m.: A. D. Coleman and Dave Kemp in conversation
June 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Make Me Famous: Wikipedia Writing Party with Gillian Dykeman
June 16-June 20: Reading Room presents Installation by Brad Isaacs
June 24, 7-8:30 p.m.: Alternate History: The Fable of Capa’s D-Day photographs (a conversation with A. D. Coleman and artist and MFA graduate Diana Yoo)
June 26, 6pm: “Camera Obscura” by Dave Kemp
June 28, 6pm: Forever in Blue Jeans: Artistic Outcomes and Trajectories
