March 23-26, 2006 -- Fourth Annual Seattle Erotic Arts Festival, Seattle Washington. SEAF is the most extensive exhibition of erotic and sexual art in the country. This year there will be over 200 works of erotic photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, and performance art. Four of my photographs are in the show. April 8, 2004 -- New Forms, New Venues: Sexual Fine Art Outside the Porn Paradigm, Western Regional Conference, Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, Redondo Beach, California. I will be moderating a plenary panel and speaking, together with Jim Duvall of the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival, and Barbara Nitke, acclaimed fine art sexual photographer and plaintiff in Nitke v. Gonzalez, a suit challenging the constitutionality of the obscenity provisions of the Communications Decency Act. The panel will discuss the resistance contemporary sexual fine art confronts from erotophobic art institutions, and the venues that are emerging outside those institutions for the exhibition of sexual art.
