Operation Cross Country 10, the nationwide 2016 FBI action in 135 cities which claimed to be focused on child sex trafficking, arrested 996 sex workers, but as of May 2017 had yielded only ten sex trafficking indictments, only three of which involved juveniles. All three juveniles –two 17-year-old girls and one 15-year-old girl — denied coersion or any kind of mistreatment from defendants. Once again “child sex trafficking” is being used as a pretext to devote huge quantities of time and money to target non-coersive sex work among consenting adults.
