Nanning, Guangxi to Host 9th International Conference on Traditional Pharmacology in August 2006
August 2006 — In June 2004, China was elected to host the 9th International Conference on Traditional Pharmacology. This event will take place in the city of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from August 22, 2006 to August 26, 2006. In 1990, delegations from over 40 countries founded the Institute of International Traditional Medicine in Strasbourg, France and "The First International Conference on Traditional Pharmacology" was held. Since then, eight biennial conferences have been held in France, Sweden, China (Beijing), Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa.

New Chinese and English Editions of Dr. Long's Book Zhuang Burning-string Therapy Acupuncture Points: A Visual Guide Announced
April 30, 2006 — A new Chinese edition of Zhuangyi Yaoxian Dianjiu Yongxue Tujie Xiangzhu 200 Li (Zhuang Burning-string Therapy Acupuncture Points: A Visual Guide for 200 Different Symptoms & Diseases), and a first English-language edition, are in preparation, according to Long family spokesperson Anna Lung, one of Dr. Long's daughters. The first edition of this book appeared in 1991, and the work is presently out of print. Endorsed by the Long family, these books will appear under the imprint of Flying Dragon Cultural Enterprises, Limited. Publication is anticipated in late 2006 or early 2007. Other books, DVDs, and relevant instructional materials on this innovative method are planned for the future.
