RICO Case Against Ferguson, MO
Sign the Petition
Today, March 17, 2015, at We the People — The White House, I initiated a petition to the Obama Administration to “order the Dept. of Justice to initiate a RICO case against the city government, courts, and police force of Ferguson, MO.” I described it thus:
RICO stands for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (18 U.S.C. § 1961), a law that increases the severity of penalties for crimes performed in conjunction with organized crime. The law states that any person or group who commits any two out of a list of 35 crimes (known as racketeering activity in the U.S. Code) within a decade and can be determined to have committed them with similar results or similar intentions can be charged with racketeering.
Relevant crimes include: racketeering activity; extortion; mail fraud; obstruction of justice; obstruction of criminal investigations; retaliating against a witness, victim, or informant; tampering with a witness, victim, or informant; interference with commerce.
The DOJ report describes a criminal conspiracy. Prosecute it.
I encourage you to sign this petition, and to spread the word. Here’s the shortlink to the petition: http://wh.gov/iWbpI
