Currently I'm working on a new book, Available Light: Photography in the 1990s, to appear in fall 2005 under the imprint of Midmarch Arts Press (publisher of my 1996 collection Tarnished Silver: After the Photo Boom). As with most of my books, completion of the preparatory work on this involves verifying citations for footnotes, obtaining picture rights for illustrations, and other necessary tasks. A good introduction to the world of publishing for anyone considering a future therein.
I have other book projects in various stages of preparation, none of them yet signed up with a publisher. However, preliminary work of the sort described above can begin anytime.
